How beautiful it is,

that just like plants,

we crave the sun.

Feeling the warmth hug on our faces

assures us that the best is yet to come.

That there will be better days for you,

I wish you could see the beauty that I see

The beauty that resides on the other side

The other side that people dare not to cross

And I’ve always wondered why

It’s pure bliss over here .

You would fit right in .

I like the smell of rain on the train

The heighten florals of someone’s perfume

Lifting our spirits on a day so gloom.

Noses deep into our phones

Pockets stretched thin like placed we’ve outgrown

And shivers running deep from the AC not yet regulated, how neat.

“Was it cold enough to bring out this jacket ?”

I assume that’s what people say.

Where the sun and sea meet the Earth

The expansive revelation of birth

The quietude one knows he’s worth,

They settle deeply within my soul

and engulf my darkness whole.

They release streams of empathy

and joy

and sorrow.

They gleam happily at the promises of

Hand in hand

Toes enriched with sand

We walk upon the beach.

Leaving the shore

Where joy is present no more.

Deep into the ocean.
